The City of Edmonton will resume construction on the 105 Avenue Streetscape project starting in late April/early May. This is the final phase of construction and work is anticipated to be completed by fall 2023. Upcoming construction on the project will be divided into stages and will occur consecutively.

Stage 1.  The permanent installation of the one-way bike lanes on 105 Avenue will be completed between 109 Street to 116 Street.  A temporary road closure of 105 Avenue will be required during construction on this segment.

Stage 2.  The remaining road reconstruction (continued from 2022) will be completed followed by construction on the north sidewalk and road. Reconstruction of the 105 Avenue intersections will be completed one at a time, with 115 Street and 114 Street requiring temporary full-intersection closures. One-way traffic will be maintained between 113 Street and 116 Street.

Stage 3.  Construction of the Columbia Plaza located at 112 Street to 113 Street will begin. A temporary road closure will be required to complete this work.

During this time, local access will be maintained at all times. Parking will not be permitted along 105 Avenue. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained, where possible, at all times. Emergency access will also be maintained at all times.
