As part of our continuing effort to simplify our technical environment and manage costs, we plan to discontinue Cisco Webex beginning this summer. Our goal is to complete the transition by August 2023, and we want to ensure that everyone is aware of this change and is adequately prepared.

This change does not prevent faculty and staff from participating in Webex or other video platform invitations from external entities. While we anticipate that Teams can meet most, if not all, of our collaboration needs, we are retaining a few Webex licenses for another year in case we encounter specific practices that require Webex. We are monitoring the use of Webex and will work with users of this service to move them to Teams.

Faculty can continue to use Google Meet and Kaltura Virtual Classroom for engaging students.
