Starting on April 11, EPCOR will be on-site and will begin working at 109 St. – 105 Ave. before heading east to 108 St. This will require temporary lane closures of the northbound right-hand lane. A couple of key notes about this proposed traffic plan:
Access into the laneway adjacent to SAMU off of 109 St. will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
- The bike lanes along 105 Ave. will be adjusted to route adjacent to the north-side of the active worksite. A bike path will remain open at all times and will have detour signs placed appropriately.
- Pedestrians will need to cross 109 St. on the north side of 105 Ave.
- 105 Ave. between 108 St. and 109 St. will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Once the work is completed at 109 St. and 105 Ave. (approximately 1 week), EPCOR will reopen the lanes along 109 St. and will make some additional adjustments to the traffic plan along 105 Ave. as per the below plan. The tentative date for this traffic impact is April 18. Some items to note here:
- As before, a bike lane will remain open at all times.
- Access into the parking lot off in the north keyhole of 105 Ave. will be closed for an extended period of time. Access for vehicles into this lot will need to be from 109 St.
