Vaccination against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is available at MacEwan University Health Centre (MUHC) for MacEwan staff and students who are eligible for the publicly-funded vaccine, which is at no cost to you.

Vaccination against HPV greatly decreases the risk of oropharyngeal, vulvar, vaginal, cervical, penile and anal cancers, as well as anogenital warts.

To be eligible for the publicly-funded vaccine at MUHC, you must:

  • Be age 18 to 27 years old
  • Have a valid Alberta Healthcare Number
  • Have not completed their full series of HPV vaccinations (either two or three doses, dependent on age of initiation of series)

If you are interested in receiving the HPV vaccine, an appointment can be made with one of the MUHC nurses.

This process can be initiated by completing an intake survey.
