Beginning the summer of 2021, Finance took on the initiative to convert our fiscal financial year-end from June 30 to March 31. The system conversion itself went smoothly with no reported issues. In conjunction with the project, Finance developed a condensed year-end schedule to align with newly defined reporting requirement needs and associated timelines for reporting. We worked with stakeholders university-wide to establish new business practices and assure compliance in meeting these deadlines.

In all, the project was a huge success and we are grateful to the MacEwan community for adapting to this change so well. Special thanks to our colleagues in ITS for their unbridled support, and those holding financial-related positions both in and out of Finance. We couldn’t have done this without you!
