On Friday, April 22, EPCOR will begin installing additional manholes at 104 Avenue and 110 Street, just outside the Robbins Learning Health Centre. Impacts to MacEwan will include:
- The east lane on northbound 110 Street will be closed near the worksite. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
- No left-hand turns will be permitted from eastbound 104 Avenue onto northbound 109 Street.
- There will be no pedestrian crossing permitted across 110 Street on the north side of 104 Avenue.
This work is estimated to take two to three weeks to complete, and then EPCOR will be doing similar work at the intersection of 104 Avenue and 112 Street.
Additional impacts to those already in place include:
- No left-hand turns will be permitted from southbound 112 Street onto eastbound 104 Avenue.
- No right-hand turns will be permitted from southbound 112 Street onto westbound 104 Avenue on red lights only.
- The northbound curb lane on 112 Street approaching 104 Avenue will be directed to turn right at the intersection.
- Two-way traffic will be maintained on 112 Street north of the 104 Avenue intersection.
- No parking will be permitted on the east side of 112 Street near the worksite.
- No pedestrian crossing will be permitted across 112 Street north of 104 Avenue.
The 110 Street laneway from 105 Avenue through the north parking lot will remain open, allowing access from the parking lots of Student Residence, Allard Hall, Robbins and the West Parkade to exit north onto 105 Avenue.
