Over the past two years, Conservatory of Music instructors transitioned to teaching music online, transformed performances into online events, and found creative ways to perform outdoors during the summer. We are excited that Conservatory instructors are able to resume performing in-person at Muttart Hall in the historic Alberta College Campus!

Our instructors are professional musicians and educators who share their knowledge and performance skills to provide excellent learning experience for students of all ages.

Learning an instrument is only a part of the learning process. Performing and attending concerts is another way to learn from others and strengthens musicianship. To support learning opportunities, the Conservatory of Music partners with many organizations to offer concerts.

The Edmonton Recital Society (ERS) and the Conservatory of Music have a long lasting partnership. We co-present concerts and ERS provides scholarships for Conservatory of Music students. Together we support the growth of the rich music community in Edmonton.

On Sunday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m., violin instructor Laura Veeze, piano instructor Sarah Ho and harp instructor Nora Bumanis will be performing alongside Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s Dianne New, Rhonda Henshaw, Meran Currie-Roberts and Cosette Jutos Valdes.

Concert admission is by donation. The collective support from the community helps us continue to foster music excellence at MacEwan University and in the Edmonton arts community.
