MacEwan’s 2021/22 Book of the Year, Souvankham Thammavongsa’s How to Pronounce Knife, is a moving, funny, and sometimes-bittersweet collection of short stories that provide a window into the lives of an array of characters that are as diverse in experience as they are similar in circumstance. The collection was awarded the Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2020 and the Trillium Book Award in 2021.
Join us on March 24 for an evening with Souvankham Thammavongsa, who will read some excerpts from her book before engaging in discussion and audience Q&A with fellow award-winning author and 2022 MacEwan Writer-in-Residence Naomi Lewis.
This event will be held online.
