The United Way at MacEwan Wellness Photography Exhibit is officially open for photography submissions as of January 24!
United Way at MacEwan University raises funds for the United Way Alberta Capital Region to help people break the chain of poverty and improve their living conditions. We also aim to educate and support our community through meaningful engagement with our campaign. One of our main priorities in 2021/22 is student mental health. We hope to invite conversation and reflection regarding how we can support mental health on our campus and in our community.
To this end, we are hosting an online photography exhibit to showcase aspects of mental wellness that have helped our university community endure COVID-19 and physical distancing. We welcome original submissions from all members of the MacEwan community in the following categories:
- An animal that brings me comfort
- Something I am grateful for
- A view that I enjoy
Eligible participants will be entered to win a variety of wellness-themed prizes.
As we continue to weather an era that has been incredibly difficult, let’s try and spread more love, kindness, hope – and pets – to lighten the load that we are all carrying. We look forward to seeing and experiencing the entries shared by our vibrant, creative and resilient community.
