MacEwan’s new digital learning environment, paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs, will fully launch in January 2022 for faculty and staff. If you are teaching during the Spring or Summer terms, you will have until Spring to convert your classes over to mêskanâs (there are exceptions, so check with your department chair). If you are not teaching until Fall 2022, you will have until September to migrate your courses. Faculty and staff will still have access to Blackboard until December 2022, but students will cease to have access to Blackboard as of April 30, 2022, unless an exception has been made.

We are currently undergoing an RFP process for a vendor to assist faculty and staff with course migration from Blackboard to mêskanâs. The successful vendor should be announced sometime in late November and is anticipated to begin helping with course migration when mêskanâs launches in January 2022.
