The MacEwan Alert system test that was scheduled for Thursday, October 14 has been postponed. The test will now take place in November. Watch for updates in the coming weeks.

MacEwan Alert notifications are sent across multiple channels in urgent situations that pose a safety or security risk. These notifications are sent automatically to all MacEwan email addresses for current students and employees; however, the fastest way to get the information you need is through both the SAFE@MacEwan app and text message:

  • Download the free SAFE@MacEwan app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices) to ensure that you receive MacEwan Alert push notifications.
  • Sign up for MacEwan Alert text notifications by texting MACEWAN to 723389.
