Video presentations can be a good alternative for in-person presentations, either for individual or group activities. In general, video files are too large to be submitted or shared via the traditional assessment submission process in Blackboard. Just for a comparison, a 30-minute video might range from 2160 KB to 4.5 GB while a 10-page Word document without images is only 30 KB.
As a result, we recommend instructors explore incorporating Kaltura Streaming Media for video submissions. Instructors can use the Assignment function in Blackboard for private video submissions; for class presentations, the Discussion forum can be set up for students to share their presentation.
For students, instead of attaching the video as a file during the submission and sharing process in their Blackboard courses, they can also upload their video presentation to Kaltura and use the Mashup tool to share the videos.
