Pushup Plank 2Finals week is here! Are you ready… I’m not ready.

This is my last semester at MacEwan and I’m so anxious! When I’m anxious I do one of two things. Either I will distract myself with something else, aka procrastinate (I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy as I write this) or I go workout. I find that after I have a workout I feel more focused and less anxious. In fact I am studying this same idea in sports psychology. Even just 5 or 10 minutes of physical activity will help your well-being. So do yourselves a favour and get up and do some yoga, jog on the spot, do hopscotch, do some push-ups or even dance around. It will help. Trust me.

Since the Winter term is over make sure you schedule yourself some time to do something that doesn’t require you in front of a phone or computer or TV. Get up, get out, and maybe grab a discounted Summer Pass if you aren’t taking classes in Spring/ Summer term and you can check out those free Value-Added fitness classes you have been wanting to do all semester but couldn’t make it to. Your brain will thank you for the break.

Study hard, try not to survive off of just Tim Hortons and move around.
