In the event of an emergency on campus, it’s important to know what steps to take to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Here are some important reminders:

  • If you encounter an immediate threat to life and/or property that requires an urgent response from fire, police, or ambulance, the first step is to call 911. Then call Security Services at 780-497-5555 to advise them of the situation.
  • During an emergency, stay calm, and provide detailed info including location and phone number to the dispatcher to ensure appropriate help.
  • We also encourage you to download the SAFE@MacEwan app, which allows you to place a direct call to emergency services and Security Services by tapping on the Emergency Contacts This app is an excellent resource that can provide you with quick access to important information during an emergency.
