MacEwan is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Chancellor Speaker Series event. Save the date for April 4 as we welcome the first speaker in our series, Dr. Jane Philpott, dean of the Queen’s University School of Medicine and former Canadian Health Minister, to the MacEwan campus for a public talk on the future of the health workforce in Canada.

The Chancellor Speaker series is a semi-annual, recurring event, featuring high-profile speakers from the health-care field. Each event is meant to reflect the expertise and legacy of the presiding chancellor, with our inaugural event hosted by MacEwan’s first Chancellor, Dr. Anthony Fields. A renowned oncologist and healthcare expert, Dr. Fields is known for his passion for community health and a thought leader in the health community.

Dr. Philpott’s speaking event is open to the MacEwan community and the public, with general admission tickets set to go on sale at the beginning of March. We look forward to you joining us and the wider community as Dr. Philpott shares her perspective on the health workforce now and in the future.
