We are pleased to announce that Sport and Wellness annual memberships and recreation (Rec) league registration will be eligible for funding through the Access to MacEwan Learning Activities Fund, effective April 1, 2023, for eligible employees.

How to apply

Complete an Access to Learning application form. Use course code 4017 for annual memberships, the cost is $400. A ready-made strength program is included with the membership. Please indicate your preferred program in the notes section of your membership application (do not submit another application). Details can be found here.

For recreation leagues, please refer to the Sport and Wellness website for current offerings. Ensure you indicate the correct course code that is associated with that league.

Important to note

  • No refunds or pro-rated refunds will be issued to employees who currently hold an Annual, Sidekick Six, or Fabulous Four membership. When your membership expires you can complete an application form to receive funding to renew your membership.
  • Employees with a monthly membership can contact Sport and Wellness to cancel their current membership for April, and then apply for an annual membership.
  • Gym memberships from other organizations are not eligible.
  • If you are currently registered in a recreation league, no refunds or pro-rated refunds will be issued.
  • As the activity is “primarily for personal benefit,” the taxable benefit will be processed the last pay period in the month following the start of the activity (e.g., if the course start date is January, the taxable benefit will be processed the last pay period in February).
