The United Way Committee and 50th Champions Team challenge you to Rock the Block with us. We invite you to take part in a scavenger hunt adventure around our neighbouring communities in celebration of MacEwan’s milestone birthday.

From September 23 to 30, you can choose from 50 adventurous activities to celebrate our 50th anniversary and show your MacEwan pride – all while having fun with your peers, colleagues, friends and family exploring campus and beyond!

The activities are connected to categories on a bingo card to allow for a more flexible experience you can do anytime throughout the week. Earning one line (i.e., a bingo) gets your team one entry into the prize draw. Should your team perform all 50 activities (and why wouldn’t you?) you’ll have a blackout card and receive three prize draw entries!

Here’s how it works:

1) Connect with two to three folks and register your team (two to four people) with a cool name . Rock the Block 50th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt registration opens September 16 (be sure to register before September 23!).

2) Receive your registration package, then plan your adventure.

3) Start scavenger hunting on your own time between September 23 and 30.

4) Success! Submit your completed bingo card following the instructions in your package by October 1.

Some of the activities in the scavenger hunt involve taking photos or videos. Feel free to share your journey across our downtown community using the hashtags #RocktheBlockUW50, #communitymatters, #givingmatters and #learningmatters to connect with your fellow block rockers!

Please note that the winners may be asked to provide proof of completion of activities upon request.
