Effective Friday, November 20, the university will regularly provide updates of reported positive COVID-19 cases on campus.

A dashboard showing numbers of known positive cases of individuals who were recently on campus is now available on the Reporting and Responding page on the university’s Coronavirus web segment. These cases were voluntarily reported using either MacEwan’s COVID-19 reporting form or through direct reports to the university’s Health, Safety and Environment office. The chart will be updated every Friday.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and have recently been on campus:

We also encourage you to download and use the ABTraceTogether app, to assist in contact tracing and limiting the spread of the virus. You should also be aware of a new contact-tracing process from Alberta Health Services, which involves text messaging to individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. If you receive a notification and test positive, please complete MacEwan’s COVID-19 reporting form.

Protecting the health and safety of our community is a priority for the university, and we have met and exceeded AHS COVID-19 guidelines for post-secondary institutes. Thank you for supporting the university’s efforts and doing your part to help break the circuit of transmission of the COVID-19 virus on our campus and in your community.
