Next week, MacEwan University’s United Way fall campaign begins. We have some exciting ways for you to participate in our fall campaign. Our theme is Education Matters, Care Matters, Educators Care.

During the campaign you can show your support by participating in these activities:

  • Care Matters – Top up your coffee. Each cup you buy at the City Centre Campus Tim Horton’s will be rounded to the nearest dollar with the proceeds going to United Way.
  • Educators Care – Mask it up. Buy a United Way branded mask from the mStore and wear it on campus and while doing face-to-face instruction.
  • Education Matters – Trivia Time. Create your team of five and play along to win some amazing prizes from surrounding businesses. Hosted by SAMU and RBC.
  • Care Matters- Sexual Wellness during COVID-19 Pandemic. Join Nina Sangra, a Registered Psychologist in Wellness & Psychological Services and Aubrianna Snow, SAMU’s VP Student Life for a sex-positive webinar about sexual wellness during a pandemic.
  • Care Matters – Reel Resilience. Join Annelise Lyseng, a Registered Psychologist, and a Peer Health Educator from Wellness & Psychological Services, to explore how movies can strengthen mental wellness and learn evidence-based strategies to enhance your viewing experiences.

All events are free for students, and pay-by-donation for staff and faculty. For more information and to register for these events visit MacEwan.ca/UnitedWay.

Throughout the campaign, you will also receive a couple of emails from United Way with more information on United Way initiatives and how to make a donation. We encourage you to support these initiatives and contribute to the good work done by the United Way, which supports our current and future students in many ways.
