Message from the president: President’s Medal nominations

Submitted by on 2019/03/20 – 8:30 am

Thoughtful leadership. Community spirit. A strong sense of curiosity.

These are the qualities I look for when I’m selecting recipients of the President’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Student Leadership. This medal recognizes graduating students who are accomplished in multiple areas: they are academic achievers, student leaders and active members of their communities. They strive to make their university and the world a better place, and set high personal standards in all that they do.

In just a few weeks, I’ll be reviewing nominations for this year’s award, so now is the time to submit your nominations. No matter what area of the university you work in, I know you encounter many exceptional students, and I can’t wait to hear about them and the impact they’ve had on our campus community.

Nominees must be graduating in Spring or Fall 2019, and the award will be presented at Convocation. Nominations must be submitted by April 29.

Visit MacEwan.ca/StudentAwards for award criteria and nomination form.
