Early bird tours for new students

Submitted by on 2017/08/16 – 8:30 am

This year the Orientation Team, in partnership with the Welcome Centre, is hosting early bird tours from August 24 to 31. We will be inviting first-year students to sign up for either a 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. tour during these dates. Space is limited to 500 students, which we are breaking down into two 20-student tours for each tour time (four tours a day). To register, students must fill out a form online, which can be found on MacEwan.ca/Orientation.

We do not expect any of your normal day-to-day services to change or adjust to accommodate these tours. However, there will be a higher influx of students on campus during these dates and we want you to be aware of it.

We will be encouraging students to do the following before and after each tour:

  • Get a student ID card
  • Pick up a U-Pass
  • Find and register a locker
  • Visit the Office of the University Registrar (if needed)
  • Visit kihêw waciston Indigenous Education Centre
  • Visit Sport and Wellness

Dates and times:

  • Thursday, August 24: 10 – 11 a.m. and 2 – 3 p.m.
  • Friday, August 25: 10 – 11 a.m. and 2 – 3 p.m.
