Laser Quest demolition makes way for Students’ Association Building

Submitted by on 2014/10/01 – 8:30 am

The Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) is pleased to announce the demolition of Laser Quest on 109 Street and 105 Avenue to make way for their own Students’ Association Building.

“Clearing this space will make room for a future site for a proposed Students’ Association Building,” said Cameron McCoy, SAMU president. “Tearing down this unsightly building is a part of urban renewal and follows the tradition of the university transforming urban space.”

The media event took place Wednesday, October 1 at 11 a.m. on the second-level patio of the Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness.

The Students’ Association Building has been in the planning stages for several years. The building will be a hub of student activity.
