Students wanted for university and SAMU committees

Submitted by on 2014/04/30 – 8:30 am

SAMU is looking for interested students to take sit on a wide variety of committees both within the university and within the Students’ Association. From the Academic Governance Council and faculty councils to various committees across the institution, sitting on a committee is a fantastic experience and there are dozens of opportunities.

Students gain valuable leadership and communication skills for their future development, and a volunteer opportunity that is ultimately valuable on their resume. They meet interesting people, network with faculty and university administrators, face difficult challenges, and gain a great deal of experience. Most importantly, they gain the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the university and the academic decisions that are made here.

SAMU is currently looking for students for a wide variety of committees. The available opportunities are posted at samu.ca/universitygovernance and applications should be submitted to the SAMU VP Academic at savpacademic@macewan.ca or 780-497-5476.
