A reminder for all employees of MacEwan University: Employees’ Code of Conduct
The university administration has implemented the new Employees’ Code of Conduct as approved and directed by the ethics commissioner, in accordance with the Conflicts of Interest Act. If you are employed by MacEwan University, this code applies to you. Here’s an update on what you need to know and do.
Where a real, potential or perceived conflict of interest exists, you will need to complete a disclosure using the online disclosure tool. Ensure you have completed your required disclosures using the secure, online Disclosure Portal by December 31, 2019.
An upcoming drop-in session is available for employees with questions about their obligations under the Code:
- Wednesday, December 4, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., Room 6-153
Check the portal for any additional sessions to be scheduled.
Several guidance documents have been developed to support you in understanding your obligations under the Code. All materials are available on the myMacEwan portal. The most recent addition is a guide to promote collegial dialogue and support transparency in how required disclosures related to scholarly activities will be reviewed and evaluated.
