From the acting president: President’s Medal nominations

Submitted by on 2019/10/09 – 8:30 am

Dear Colleagues,

With Fall Convocation coming up on November 19, our minds are on the achievements of our graduands, and I would appreciate your help in identifying and honouring those who have made an exceptional impact on our university community and beyond.

During Convocation, we award the President’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Student Leadership to one degree graduate and one diploma graduate. This award recognizes graduates that encompass the values that define us as an institution: a commitment to academic excellence, campus and community leadership, a passion for learning and a desire to create positive change wherever they go.

As we approach Convocation, I am turning to you to identify those graduands you consider worth nominating for this prestigious award. I know that many of you have encountered exceptional students through your work here at MacEwan, and I am looking forward to hearing about them and their accomplishments.

The nomination deadline is October 18. For more information about the nomination process and to access the nomination form, please visit MacEwan.ca/StudentAwards.

John McGrath
Acting President
