Assist with adjudicating student award applications

Submitted by on 2019/01/16 – 8:30 am

As Winter term gets underway, Student Financial Aid is preparing to recognize MacEwan’s most exceptional students who stand out for their leadership, community involvement and courage in overcoming adversity. The student awards program is busiest in the Winter term with dozens of awards to review and adjudicate.

This year, after a long hiatus, we are excited to be opening up participation in awards selection to the entire MacEwan community. Being part of awards selection is an interesting and fun way to support our students! Volunteers will receive a set of student applications by email, review them independently over the course of a week, and email their rankings back to Student Financial Aid. Wherever possible, rubrics and guidelines have been created to make evaluating applications as straightforward as possible. We are expecting selections to take place from mid-February onward.

If you are interested in being part of awards selection this term, please contact Frances Billingsley at billingsleyf@macewan.ca.
