Time and labour changes

We are making a change to a Time Reporting Codes (TRCs) for statutory holidays. Changes apply to Out-of-Scope (OOS) and MacEwan Staff Association (MSA) employees. This change will ensure we are in compliance with current legislation.

Effective May 13, 2018, the following TRC will no longer be available for use:

SWB – STAT WORKED BANKED was used to bank hours worked on statutory holiday. Employees can no longer use this TRC (time reporting code) element.  See MSA Article 21.0.06.

  • If the employee wishes to bank the stat pay for the day (stat pay in lieu) he/she or the dept. manager will submit the approved stat in lieu hours in writing to for entry.
  • Employees who do not have access to the timesheets can seek assistance from their designated timekeeper for proper recording and approval.
  • Please note the stat pay in lieu = average daily working hours

 The following TRCs remain available for use:

SWP – STAT WORKED PAID is to be used to pay out hours worked on a statutory holiday.

STP – STAT PAY will be generated by the system for the statutory holiday pay for the day. No manual entry is required.
