Call for nominations for Research Ethics Board

The Academic Governance Council (AGC) Nominations Committee is requesting nominations for one faculty member from any faculty/school, with ethics or research background, to serve on the Research Ethics Board for a 2.5-year term (from November 26, 2014 to June 30, 2017). The nomination form can be downloaded from the AGC website.The Research Ethics Board approves, rejects, proposes modifications to, or terminates any proposed or ongoing research that falls under the scope of Policy C5052: Ethical Review of Research with Human Participants. Their meeting schedule is on the AGC website, along with the committee’s Terms of Reference.
To volunteer or to nominate another person, please download, type directly into, save, and return the nomination form by 12 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014. Please note that members cannot serve concurrently on any of the following committees: Research Council, Research Ethics Board and Animal Research Ethics Board.
